Wine Underground was opened in 2001 with the vision of providing our community with a source for wine, beer and spirits beyond expectations. Under new ownership since October of 2008, we continue to offer a wide selection of off-the-beaten-path beverages and friendly, knowledgeable customer service.

We are a small, neighborhood shop at heart, but are willing to carry some of the more unusual, exceptional or hard-to-find products that other stores don't carry. If there is anything we don't have on our shelves (which is, honestly, a lot—remember, we're a small shop) we will be happy to special-order it for you.

Our specialties are stellar, high-end, ageable (often older vintage) wines stored in our one-of-a-kind Old World-style wine cellar (where we also host our tasting events), specialty and limited-edition beers from around the world and exceptional spirits—including one of the finest domestic micro-distilled spirits and single-malt Scotch selections in Baltimore City (see our "Wine", "Beer" and "Spirits" links above for details on some of the products we have in stock). We pride ourselves on our beverage knowledge and "keeping things fresh" with a constantly evolving selection of interesting beverages. We personally taste (nearly) everything we stock, ensuring that we're providing our customers with the best products and values possible.
